Located in the heart of Beaujolais, more precisely in Saint Etienne La Varenne, the estate of Jean-Claude Lapalu has become a benchmark in the region and has inspired many winemakers.

Respectful of the environment and concerned about the quality of his wines, Jean-Claude does not use chemical fertilizers or herbicides but prefers to plow his vineyards to keep the soils alive.

Similarly, for the protection of the vineyard, he prefers to use organic treatments to preserve the indigenous yeasts living on the grape. These indigenous yeasts are used for vinification, thus avoiding the addition of oenological inputs.

Certified organic since 2006, the estate offers us a wide choice of cuvées, across different styles of winemaking and terroirs, thus creating two different types of wines.

The “Cuvée des Fous” and the “Rang du Merle” lean towards confit fruits, while the “old vines” cuvées and the “Croix des Rameaux” are marked by freshness and are of great precision.

I invite you to discover with delight my selection of wines from the estate and vintages.
